Ex professional Richie Wellins visit

Ex professional Richie Wellins visited the academy on Friday 28th July as a guest speaker for the squad, answering questions and sharing his knowledge and experience of what it takes to make it as a professional footballer. Richie who is currently first team coach at Oldham Athletic shared stories of his playing days with Leicester City, Manchester United and the National team. The lads were able to put questions to Richie who gave some valuable advice for the players to take away and work on to develop themselves as footballers. Richie followed up the talk with a high intensity possession drill on the training field, coaching the squad on first touch, special awareness and decision making.
